JODY'S BIO :: Jody Wisternoff is something of a young but seasoned veteran, with an impressive career that spans 16 years to date. Breaking through to the finals of the DMC hiphop championships in 1986 he received national notoriety as well as a major deal and heat from such old school style mags as The Face, Hip Hop Connection, and I.D. whilst still a teenager, and this many years before becoming half of pioneering dance act Way Out West alongside Nick Warren. By then Jody's DJ style had become predominantly four to the floor, and as a result residencies at London's Club UK and Bristol's Lakota were secured. As Way Out West became more established DJ work went from nationwide to international. Three mix comps, a handful of hits,a constant gigging schedule, WOW production, remixing, live shows have been expertly juggled with his DJing schedule. Now touring consistently as Way Out West Dj Set ,as well as under his own moniker you will find him at the cutting edge of electronic housemusic , embracing exciting fresh sounds, shunning the populist/lowest common denominator floor fodder. Jody's passion for music will always keep him ahead of the game
